01 Ford has just dropped the veil on it's all new ultimate off-road beast!  The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is here, with a twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 engine.  The power plant is supplemented with a 10-speed transmission.  And like previous Raptors its a full six inches wider than the standard F-150. Ford hasn't yet released the details on how much power the new Raptor has, but only that the turbo V6 will have "more" than the last generation's 411-horsepower, 434-lb.-ft 6.2-liter V8.  But the story of the Raptor was never really about the power, it was about its off-road speed capability. 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor That is one area that the new Raptor shouldn't have a problem with,, its sporting a new steel frame underneath the aluminum body tech it shares with all new Ford F-150s,which shaves off 500 lbs the same as it's little brother.  The FOX Racing shocks have been upgraded as well, along with more suspension travel than ever before. 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Other upgrades include a new transfer case, a Torsen differential up front, and possibly the coolest feature ever in a truck, a computer with a pre-programmed Baja mode! 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor
