First off called about a vehicle bc was just such a great deal, they assured me it was right price, called few days later to be completely sure before I drive 3 hrs to buy the truck, again āOh yes thatās the price!!ā Iām like are you 100%? Bc it should be 10-12k higher then pricedā¦ even pointed out the reason why it should be higherā¦ but Lenny advised me most definitely the correct priceā¦ so I drive 3hrs one way to arrive to a xxxx show, just as I tried to avoidā¦ oh Iām sorry this truck is 12k higher, brought in the shady mgr to give some xx about their web designer caused the issueā¦ yeah bc they price the vehicles on your sight!! xx!!! Even though 2 phone calls before I told them I think itās wrong before driving across the whole state!! But 3hr drive home just fuming trying to keep the old school in me under control and not go to jail for these crooks!! Avoid this CROOKED xxx dealership and employees!!!

I was in the market for a new truck and visited Mel
I was in the market for a new truck and visited Mel Hambelton Ford to work out a deal. I have been a loyal Ford Motor Company customer and have purchased four vehicles from the brand over time, so I went in expecting a straightforward and fair experience. The truck I was interested in had a $2,000 customer cash rebate, along with additional advertised incentives including a $2,500 loyalty rebate and a $500 military rebate. I was told these could not be combined, although that restriction was not clearly stated. When I asked for a dealer discount to bridge the gap and reach a reasonable price, I was told that was not possible because they would lose money. It also took roughly 20 minutes just to determine what rebates I actually qualified for. For a sales team, this should be immediate and transparent. The delay raised serious concerns about how clear and straightforward the process was for customers. What was even more concerning was the explanation that followed. I was told the dealership does not receive holdbacks, makes no money from financing, and makes no money from the service departmentāonly from markup on vehicle sales. That explanation does not align with how dealerships typically operate, where revenue is generally generated across multiple departments, not solely vehicle markup. It came across as an attempt to justify pricing rather than provide transparency. The discussion also repeatedly shifted to used truck pricing to justify the value of the new vehicle. However, I was not shopping for a used truck, and those comparisons were not relevant to my decision. Overall, the experience felt less like a negotiation and more like a sales process designed to protect pricing at all costs rather than earn a customerās business. I will not be returning, and I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before buying here or reconsider purchasing a Ford altogether.

Whatās messed up is that Stan Bogdan a manager here could care less about his customers. He too mislead us and lied to us, didnāt do anything that was promised. Avoid this dealership and this person by all costs. I have filed all sorts of complaints on these people. To ford bbb and local ag office. I learned my lesson.

I completely lost my trust in this dealership and that's
I completely lost my trust in this dealership and that's after buying our last two vehicles from Mel Hambelton and having them serviced there for 10 years. I found out yesterday that a customer's life and the life of his family, isn't worth 2/32" when it comes to honoring a "tires for life" contract, especially with winter weather conditions approaching. Lucky for me and my family, Don Hatton Ford of Augusta is much closer and more honorable. I'm not blaming the service advisor; he was just scared to do the right thing and consult the service manager about the situation. Customer service really means nothing after all!! As it turns out, the "tires for life" program that was in effect when I bought my truck was just another phony sales pitch, the dealership used to make a sale. I purchased new tires for my F-150 on my way home after I left Quick Lane, as it was never about the cost savings as much as it is about the principle. I hated to give this dealership one star for a rating, but there was nothing lower to choose from. I won't ever go back to Mel Hambelton and will advise anyone that asks, to do the same.

We had an amazing experience with Mel Hambelton Ford. This is the second vehicle we have bought from them since moving out here 2 years ago. Our salesman was Sam, both times. He is kind and patient and doesn't push you toward what he thinks is best for you. Before we traded in, we had been in the service department several times working with David Grey. He did everything he possibly could to make our car right, but it was like it was possessed. I appreciate everything he did for us. We also, go to work with Stan. He assisted in our financing and made the process extremely smooth. He was also very patient with all the questions I had. Cory in the finance department was the best to work with because he carried on a conversation with us and got to know us as people instead of just saying "sign here." We enjoyed talking to him. And I can't forget Oliver. He is the one that set my car up with Ford Pass and all the Bluetooth stuff that I don't understand. He was the sweetest person ever. On 10/30/2024, I drove all the way from Kansas City to Mel Hambelton Ford in Wichita, KS, to trade in my 2016 Ford Explorer and buy a brand new 2025 Ford Explorer Active. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting purchase quickly turned into a huge hassle. Less than 24 hours after purchasing and driving my new vehicle home, with under 300 miles on it, I received a warning about a power steering issue that required immediate service. I reached out to Nick at Mel Hambelton, who advised me to take it to a Ford service center in Kansas City. The service center determined that the power steering wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. To make matters worse, they didnāt have the part in stock and had no clear timeline for when it would arrive. Frustrated by the situation, I contacted Mel Hambelton to share my experience and ask if they could offer any compensation or extended warranty, given that my brand-new car was already in the shop. The response? āWe donāt build the car; we just sell it.ā This made it very clear that they donāt stand by the quality of the vehicles they sell. I was told there was nothing more they could do because the repair was covered under the standard warranty. When I contacted Ford corporate, I was told to take it up with the dealership. So, I was left in an endless loop between Ford and Mel Hambelton. Mel Hambelton did mention an extended warranty as a potential optionābut only if I purchased it. Despite their promise to follow up with pricing, their Business Manager Jon has yet to get back to me. This entire experience has been nothing but disappointing. Buying a new car should be exciting, not a nightmare. Mel Hambelton Ford clearly doesnāt prioritize customer satisfaction or stand behind the vehicles they sell. I deeply regret choosing them and will never do business here again. Do better, Mel Hambelton. Stand by the products you sell and treat your customers right.
